Atlassian means 'like Atlas' or 'Atlas-like' — it's not a real word, but it's the would-be adjectival form of Atlas.

Atlas was an ancient Greek Titan whose role in life was to hold up the sky with his hands to stop it from falling.

He was therefore the first person to fulfill our mission to provide Legendary Service while supporting the world.
